Kora kagaj

kagaj hain, kalam hain, dawat bhi,
par woh labj nahi, arjoo nahi, aur woh jajbaat bhi

socha karte the, woh sab pal jama karke rakhenge,
par ab woh jamana kaha? jisme inko sama karke rakhenege

Najar jamegi, palak uthegi, puchane hal-e-dil
ek jhalak aayegi, aawaj deti phir dur talak jayegi

kabhi dil ki kashti me, toh kabhi yadon ke basti me,
rehte hain woh pal, gujarate hain phir apne hi masti me

Titliyon se na pucho, chaman ki dastaan,
Woh to patzad me dekh rahi thi baharon ka rastaa

Pankhudi bani kali, khila phool, gulshan bhi saja hain,
Ateet se nikal kar, gungunate huye bhaware aaye to kya maja hain

peher badale, din dhale, phir raat aaye
aur achanak garmjosh mausam mein bhi sannata sa chaye

Khayalon ke samandar me beh chali kashti un sapnon ki,
haqiqat ke kinare per aa kar ruki, jab saath mili apno ki

Sapno se nikal kar sakaar kiya, hiro sa taraash kar,
aisa noor tha us aalam ka , na mil paye jo lakh talaash kar

gumsum sa tha mahol, per har dil se aati lakh sadaye thi,
andaaj-e-baya uske daman me chipi jo lakh aadayen thi

jo pani se gila, aasma se uncha, sone se pila hain,
koi khoya, koi mila, yehi un rishton ka silsila hain

jawan bhi abhi raat hain, aasmaan bhi khul raha hain,
yadon ki saugaat hain, sapno ke jhulon per dil jhul raha hai

likhate hain, mitate hain kore kagaj pe kiska naam hain?
ret ke kile banaate hain, lehron ke saath beh jaana jiska kaam hain...

Tonight I Dream, Tomorrow I Live

Ah! Do you dream at night?
Is a dream of light or twilight,
Of hope or of joy maybe?
I describe it as an escape,
A way of being happy
In a world we can entirely shape.

Ah! Did you dream last night?
Mystical powers at hand,
And energy replenished to the fullest.
In fact, you dream to rest
And live for a next sunlight.
Am I truly right
Or you don't understand?

Ah! Did you live today?
Watching, breathing and tasting
The merry life of each day.
Every element I'm sensing
Has a value to my humble heart.
Therefore I will be, for my part,
What I am destined to be.

Ah! Will you live tomorrow?
Know that there is always a way
Leading through our destiny.
See it, feel it you may
Staying on it won't be easy.
So, take my hand and follow.
